We must be willing to remember the painful parts of the history of the
United States with courage, conviction, and compassion.

We must be willing to intentionally reconnect with each other and to build healthy, cross-cultural relationships.

We must be willing to rewrite the prevailing story of our country which suppresses the full truth of the country’s beginnings in genocide and slavery, and the contributions of people of many cultures to the American story, which fuels racism and oppression.
